Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, also known as CST or Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, is a historic railway station in the city of Mumbai in India. The station is the soul of Mumbai, and It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

- The railway station was designed by Frederick William Stevens to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria.
- The station was known as VT, as its original name used to be Victoria Terminus, now known as CST, the short-form of Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus). In 1996, the then Minister of Railways, Suresh Kalmadi, renamed the railway station to Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in honor of the Great King Chhatrapati Shivaji who was the founder of the Maratha Empire
- Every day, almost four million commuters use the station to travel through the suburbs of the city.
- It’s a mixture of Victorian, Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture and it took ten years to complete this iconic structure
