Ingredients:
- 4 Medium grated carrots
- 1 big sized Onion
- 3 tablespoon grated coconut
- 4 green chilies chopped
- 3-4 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 1/2 tablespoon of mustard seeds
- 1/2 tablespoon of cumin seeds
- 10-12 curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 tablespoon Turmeric powder
- Chopped coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon of Chana dal
Preparation:
- In a kadai pour 3-4 tablespoons of oil , when oil gets heated put 1 tablespoon of chana dal .
- Add 1/2 tablespoon of mustard seeds and cumin seeds , let the seeds pop up and then add curry leaves , chopped chilies .
- Stir it for 10 - 15 seconds . Then add chopped onion and turmeric powder . Stir continuously till onion turns golden brown .
- Add grated carrots and salt to taste , stir well the carrot is half cooked .
- Add the grated coconut and allow it to cook completely .
- Lastly garnish with the chopped coriander leaves and turn off the flame , cover the vessel with a lid for 10 minutes .
- Serve hot
